VAT features

With the VAT features app, you can customise how VAT is handled in your store, including enabling VAT removal for eligible EU orders, setting custom VAT rates and allowing VAT relief claims. The app ensures compliance with tax regulations while giving customers the ability to claim VAT exemptions where applicable.

• Remove VAT for EU orders: Allow customers to enter a VAT number at checkout. If valid, VAT is removed from their order when ordering to eligible countries that you specify
• Set custom VAT rates: Apply different VAT rates to individual products to align with tax requirements
• Enable VAT relief on products: Let customers apply for VAT relief on eligible products at checkout by completing an online form. If their claim is successful, VAT is removed from their order

To install and configure the VAT features app, follow these steps:

1. Select Install this app
2. Once installed, you can configure VAT removal for EU orders, set custom VAT rates and enable VAT relief claims

Theme code requirement: If you plan to enable VAT removal for EU orders or VAT relief claims, you will need to add code to your theme files to activate these features. You can follow the installation guides below or contact ShopWired support for assistance.
