Segment is a customer data platform used to collect, route and manage website event data for analytics, CRM and marketing tools.

Website activity is collected from your ShopWired website using Segment's JavaScript tracking snippet, while data routing, destinations and event management are configured and managed within Segment.

1. Create a Segment account if you don't already have one
2. Create a JavaScript website source in Segment
3. Copy the JavaScript tracking snippet provided by Segment
4. Add the tracking snippet to your ShopWired theme so it loads across your website
5. Segment can begin receiving page view and website activity data from your ShopWired website
