Enable pre-orders for upcoming products
ShopWired’s pre-orders app allows you to sell products that are not available for immediate dispatch, ensuring customers know when their order will be shipped. Set release dates, manage pre-orders separately, and control payment processing for pre-release items.
- Mark products as pre-order: Set a 'ships-on' date to inform customers when the product will be dispatched
- Configure a release date: Hide products from your website until they become available for purchase
- Separate order management: View and manage pre-order sales separately from standard orders
- Flexible payments: When using ShopWired Payments or Stripe, choose whether to charge customers at the time of purchase or upon dispatch
Getting started with the app
To install and configure the pre-order products app, follow these steps:
- Select Install this app
- Navigate to Products > Create Product to create your pre-order product with all relevant information, ensuring you complete the configuration within Stock & delivery > Pre-order options section
- To configure payment settings when using ShopWired Payments or Stripe, navigate to the settings for the gateway
